The British telecommunication giant Vodafone has officially launched its 5G network on Wednesday 3 July.
At an event in London, Vodafone turned on its 5G network in the British Capital alongside Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, and Cardiff.
With the launch of Vodafone 5G, it has become the second company to launch their 5G network in Britain after EE which unveiled their 5G network back in May.
Roll out of Vodafone 5G across cities in Britain
Vodafone announced that initially its 5G network would be launched in seven cities followed by an expansion to 12 other cities by the end of 2019.
The cities are Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, and Manchester. The seventh city that would get the initial rollout of Vodafone 5G is British capital, London.
The other 12 cities that will get Vodafone 5G by the end of 2019 are Blackpool, Bournemouth, Guildford, Newbury, Plymouth Portsmouth, Reading, Stoke-on-Trent, Southampton, Wolverhampton, and Warrington
Even though it is not the first 5G rollout in the world, it surely would help in better 5G roaming.
Customers of Vodafone 5G can expect 5G coverage in several parts of Germany, Spain, and Italy.
Vodafone 5G plans, price and Deals on Smartphones
Vodafone also announced that the pricing of its 5G plans would be the same as its 4G plans for business and regular customers.
About smartphone deals, initially Vodafone is planning to offer 5G plans with two devices: Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and Samsung Galaxy S10 5G.
The cheapest 5G plan for Xiamoi Mi Mix 5G will cost you £50 per month which will give 5GB of cellular data alongside unlimited texts and minutes.

The total cost of the plan for Mi Mix 5G is £1,441, which includes an upfront fee of £49.
The cheapest plan for Galaxy S10 5G is a little bit expensive when compared to the former. It will cost £62 per month, and the plans boast unlimited texts and minutes alongside 5GB of data.
The plan of Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will cost you £1,637, which includes an upfront fee of £149.

Vodafone is also 60GB of internet data at the price of 30GB.
Final Thoughts
5G will change the way we handle data and consume content. Even though Vodafone 5G might not be the fastest or first 5G network, it surely will help in mass and quicker adoption of 5G.
