Walmart Arkansas Music (AMP), since its inception in 2014 has been driving the growing arts and entertainment economy of Arkansas. AMP is owned by the Walton Arts Center which has sold a huge number of tickets for the 165 concerts and community events accounting to more than 7, 81,000 tickets in total.
In 2018 a combined 31 events was organized in Rogers just off the Interstate which was attended by more than 2,00,000 patrons. The Vice President of AMP, Brian Crowne had said that they have a great team and are always seeking opportunities for doing better things and whatever they have achieved has been amazing.
The CEO of Walton Arts Peter Lane along with the Vice President Brian Crowne made an announcement on 2nd of November in which they gave details of their $13.9 million expansion.
The announcement was made in a tent at the backstage of AMP and more than 100 supporters of the company had gathered to get the information about the expansion.
The entire work is scheduled for completion within seven months which would be in time to begin the 2020 Cox Concert Series. The construction is due until the November of 2019 and would be done by CDI Contractors.
The project of expansion has been designed by the Core Architects of Rogers. The expansion will increase the capacity by 1,000 bringing it to 11,000 and will also add numerous amenities to the venue which will be designed to enhance the experience of the concerts.
It will include a new box office along with an expanded entry to the venue, increased seating and restrooms. They also have a plan for improved parking to add to the facilities.
They will also have a new five year partnership with their ticket seller, Live Nation. This expansion will definitely bring new beginnings to the AMP and would enable them to hold better and bigger concerts.
