Blizzard has announced that a Warcraft 3 remaster called Warcraft 3: Reforged is in works but has kept mum about the release date since then.
However, a report by PCGamer suggests that the game will be released this year and a beta version will be released before the official launch of the game.

From the information that is available, it is clear that Warcraft 3: Reforged is a remaster of Warcraft.
This remaster is touted to bring a fully refreshed version of this popular Real Time Strategy game.
There is no doubt that the remaster will bring refreshed graphics, better dialogue, and improved animations.
On the graphics front, the remaster is designed to support the 4k resolution as the graphics of the game has been designed from the ground up.

The AI is improved so when reinforcement units are called they will follow the shortest path from one point to another. Interestingly, rumors hint that the collision box will remain square, unlike the Starcraft which uses the circular box.
The game will also bring an improved matchmaking system as it will also use the Blizzard’s Battle.net system.
