Curry and Thompson Share Conflicting Views on the Intense Warriors vs Kings Match
Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry have different opinions on the Warriors vs Kings match. The Warriors won against the Kings on Friday. And during the on-court interview, Stephen was asked about how it feels to have a big game with the Sacramento Kings.
Steph replied:
“It’s a great … I wouldn’t call it a rivalry but it’s great familiarity knowing a team, how many times we’ve played them over the last two years, preseason, four times in the regular season and obviously seven games in the playoffs last year.”
“We’ve already played them three times this year [including two preseason]. So you get to know them.
“They are a tough team, young, super talented obviously. [De’Aaron Fox], you know what he can do and this environment is pretty hostile. So you love to play well, especially on the road, silence the crowd and get a big win for us. Because I don’t know if people remember, but it took us 14 games or something like that to win a road game to start the season. So to get our first one is a big deal.”
This concludes Curry’s thoughts about the Warriors vs Kings. The star doesn’t believe that the Kings and Warriors are rivals. However, Thompson has opposite thoughts on the Warriors vs Kings.

When the reporter interviewed Klay Thompson, he asked the star whether the game was a bit different since both teams met in last season’s playoffs. Does it feel like a rivalry to you?
To this, Thompson replied:
“Definitely”
“It feels like they’ve arrived. I mean, for a lot of my career they were in a rebuilding phase but now they have an identity. We respect them and they’re a very good team and they have a ton of talented players. So a team you can’t sleep on obviously. Definitely a divisional rival. Just the Northern California proximity and being in the same division.”
Differing Perspectives on Kings’ Rivalry from Curry and Thompson
Both the Golden State players have different opinions on the Warriors vs Kings rivalry. This could be because one is having a hard time while the other one is scoring easily against the Sacramento Kings.
Both Warriors stars have different thoughts about the same team. Both are great players on the court. Sometimes, one scores better against a team, and the other one doesn’t play well, while the other time, it happens the opposite.
