Poker Face is all about sniffing out the truth. Natasha Lyonne’s Poker Face premiered on 26 January 2023 on Peacock. Natasha stars as a casino worker Charlie Cale in the series, who is good at judging if a person is lying simply by looking at their face.
Charlie is intrigued by her own talent and puts her crime-solving skills to use. You might have also seen Natasha star in Russian Doll and Orange Is The New Black on Netflix. Natasha revealed that Charlie’s character is inspired by The Big Lebowski’s The Dude (played by Jeff Bridge).
Talking about her character, Lyonne said that Charlie is a little set back with sun on her face.
“I’m usually more of a city slicker and someone who avoids getting hit by taxis and runs down in a subway.”
Lyonne is also the executive producer of Poker Face. Rian Johnson is the creator and executive producer of the mystery of the week series. Lyonne reunited with her co-star from Orange Is The New Black, Dascha Polanco. Dascha plays the role of Natalie, Charlie’s best friend in Poker Face.
