In the previous episode, we saw that Ellie finds a cult, and Joel is injured at the university after he gets stabbed by some people. Ellie stitches Joel’s wounds, but that fix isn’t enough as his health deteriorates. While trying to find solutions, we see that Ellie meets with a cult. Troy Tucker is in the cult (he Plays Joel in the last of us game). They do not wish to take Ellie in as she would be an extra human to care for.
What to expect in episode 8?
The episode also shows us some flashbacks to Ellie’s past. She indicated that she had killed before. It may be her best friend and her first love Riley. The series details how she met Riley about the fireflies and how the two girls got bitten. In the present, Joel asks Ellie to let him die and leave him. But Ellie, tired of saying goodbyes, brings the whole house down until she finds a needle and thread to sew Joel up and takes care of him. There will be 9 episodes for the last of us. Fans are hoping that Joel makes it out alive.
