WhatsApp recently turned ten and it looks like the messaging app has some surprises for us. The company is ready to release an app for the users of Apple iPad exclusively. Apparently, WhatsApp supports iPhones when it comes to iOS, but for some reason it does not support iPads. The reason for this is not known.
According to some recent reports, WhatsApp’s latest version for iOS will be able to fix some bugs. It also includes some reference to iPad. So it is possible that the iPad users will be able to download WhatsApp’s version 2.19.40.

Unlike the existing reports, it is said that this would be a standalone application and won’t be similar to WhatsApp Web. The users will be able to download the app on their iPads and simply use their mobile numbers to send messages. It would be similar to iOS and Android version.
The report states that the app will allow features like video calls, voice calls, statuses, groups and landscape mode as well. If you don’t want to miss on the amazing WhatsApp Stickers, then they will be in there too.
iPad users can expect the latest fingerprint authentication features which was rolled out for the iOS users. The feature will make use of the Face ID or Touch ID for authentication purpose on the iPad.
