American Gods is up for another season as Starz has given a green signal to the show. American Gods Season 3 will have new showrunners with Charles Eglee as the new executive producer and top writer.

The second season came out in March after a long delay. As revealed by Starz, American Gods is at the second position when it comes to original series for the year. So the fans can expect the third season to release soon. Starz took time to see people’s reaction which led to the delay. The executive producer Neil Gaiman said that maybe it will take less time to script down the next season.

What to expect from American Gods Season 3?
Till now, we saw that Shadow Moon was in prison and just a few days before he was about to be released, he heard the news of his wife’s death in a car accident. He attends the funeral of his wife and he was released earlier from the prison.
His arrival gets delayed due to some reasons and meets Mr. Wednesday at that time. Mr. Wednesday has a job for him, but he refuses to take it. As he couldn’t resist for long, he decides to take up the job soon after that.
American Gods Season 2 left us all on a cliffhanger. There are a lot of questions which were left unanswered and the fans would definitely like to know about them. It was much of war behind the cameras and there were unexpected exits due to creative differences between the showrunners.
Now, Neil Gaiman wants the show to go on smoothly and become more stable, so he has brought in Charles Eglee. Eglee has plans for the fourth season as well which reflects upon his forseeing abilities. The fans will have to wait for the next season for some time and it is expected to release next year only.
