The Lion King, the famous 1994 animated Disney’s film of the same name is coming back with a remake. Jon Favreau and Disney are taking the audience for a trip to Pride Rock with the remake of The Lion King.

Favreau’s earlier venture The Jungle Book was a huge success. So going ahead with the idea of another remake makes sense. The audience is already thrilled for the upcoming venture. Here’s all about the movie that we know so far!
When will The Lion King release?
The movie is set to hit the theatres on 19 July this year. It’s just a matter of months before we get to reminisce those childhood memories again.
What to expect from the movie?
As per the official synopsis, Simba wants to follow the footsteps of King Mufasa, his father. However, not everybody feels the same about the King. Mufasa’s brother Scar is all set to betray the king resulting in Simba’s exile.
Eventually, Simba will meet Pumba and Timon who help him to take back what rightfully belongs to him. We will get to see a lot of thrill and drama along the way.
Who will be there in the movie’s cast?
The Lion King has an impressive cast. Some of the cast members are Donald Glover (Simba), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar), James Earl (Mufasa). The voiceover cast also includes Beyonce who will join the jungle gang as Nala.
