Anya Taylor who was last seen playing the character of Jane Austen heroine in the film EMMA, in going to be seen in a completely new take in the upcoming Netflix limited series soon.
The actress will be playing an orphaned chess prodigy who has suffered all her life under the competitive chess world dominated by men- all this while constantly being dependent on drug addiction.

What is The Queen’s Gambit about?
Academy Award-nominee Scott Frank recreates the novel written by Walter Tevis in a Netflix limited series.
According to the synopsis on Netflix, the show follows Beth Harmon, who grows up in a Kentucky orphanage set in the 1950s and developed an “astonishing talent for chess”.
Beth also develops and addition and grows in her adulthood by taking tranquilizers that are given to orphanage kids to sedate them.
The beautiful and glamourous older Beth is “haunted” but still “determined to conquer the traditional boundaries established in the male-dominated world of competitive chess”.
Who is in the cast of The Queen’s Gambit?
Alongside Anya Taylor-Joy (EMMA., Split) in the lead role as Beth Harmon, the cast also includes the popular actors from the Game of Thrones TV show, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Moses Ingram, Harry Melling, Marielle Heller, and Bill Camp.
