An unexpected licensing news for June 2023 states that Netflix US will start airing Suits seasons(most likely all nine, but not confirmed as of now) around mid-June, just like Netflix in other countries. Here’s all that you need to know.
The USA Network show Suits, which aired from 2011 to 2019, was praised by critics and could be considered one of the best legal dramas in recent years. It’s based on a college dropout who is a genius because he is able to memorize things quite well. He managed to get a job at a well-known law firm in New York City despite not having the right qualifications.
Suits had 134 episodes over the course of nine seasons. Now, more seasons are expected to be added to Netflix on June 17, 2023. We don’t know for sure how many seasons will be on Netflix, but we think it will be all nine.
Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Rick Hoffman, Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres, Amanda Schull, Dulé Hill, and Katherine Heigl are some of the people who star in the show.
This is the first time Suits has been on Netflix US, but the South Korean version of the show was available from December 2019 to August 2021.
Most likely, Netflix will share the show in the US. At the time of this writing, JustWatch says that you can also watch Suits on Peacock Premium and Prime Video.
The news stating that Suits is arriving on Netflix comes at a time when the streaming service is buying more and more licenses, and we can guess why. First of all, the WGA strike is still going on, which means that development, pre-production, and even production of original content have faced delays. Secondly, some distributors are loosening licensing rules because the market is in bad shape and they want to make more money.
Where else is Suits available to stream on Netflix?
As stated above, you can already watch Suits in full on Netflix in almost every region in the world. This has been the case for a long time in some areas. Some started getting the show as early as 2015, and new seasons came out every year or, in some cases, every week after they aired on USA Network.
Netflix has a license to show the series in the United Kingdom. This is because Dave, a UK free-to-air channel, decided not to pick it up after season 7. Even though Netflix Canada didn’t have the show for a few months in 2022, they still aired it.
