Her mother was the South African model, actress, and artist Geneviève Waïte. She has one brother, Tamerlane, and three half-siblings from his father’s other relationship.
After the divorce of her parents, Bijou Phillips was placed with a foster family in the city of Bolton, New York. She visited both of her parents regularly, who had both moved to houses nearby.
