After Corrie was born, the fact that Larry was her father was confirmed. Years later, he chose to provide financial assistance to his daughter.
Connor Bird’s sister, Mariah has had a very successful career so far. After gaining her degree in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management from Indiana University Bloomington, she started as an intern with Pacers Sports & Entertainment (PS&E). Previously, she had been a real estate agent.

Did Connor Bird Play Basketball?
According to Larry Bird, when Connor was merely a child, he was so passionate about the Olympic Games that he wouldn’t let his parents rest until after midnight. He used to enjoy bouncing on the leather sofas during those times. However, he was a great fan of the NBA and specifically of his father’s team, the Indiana Pacers.
Connor developed a fondness for basketball from a young age. Despite his father being a veteran of the NBA, he never made it to the big leagues. As he grew older, Connor shifted his focus away from athletics and towards other interests.
In the April 1998 issue of Indianapolis Monthly, Larry recalled a story about his son’s admiration for Michael Jordan. He said Connor had pined for the cereal featuring Jordan’s image, and Larry couldn’t help but think ‘Didn’t Connor know dad used to rain threes on Michael’s bald pate?’
Connor Bird Controversy
In February 2013, Larry’s son was taken into custody by Indiana University after it was said that he tried to plow down his ex-girlfriend with his vehicle in Bloomington.
According to CBS News, Connor is alleged to have used his Dodge Charger to hit his ex-girlfriend in the Indiana Memorial Stadium car park. University police chief Keith Cash acted as the witness and reported that the then-21-year-old star kid was charged with “intimidation with a deadly weapon, battery with injury, criminal mischief, and marijuana possession.”
Connor was convicted and charged with three offenses: having approximately 30 grams of marijuana, driving recklessly, and attacking a 20-year-old female by striking her wrist with a mobile phone.
In 2014, Connor entered a plea of guilty for the misdemeanor criminal recklessness charge as part of a court-arranged agreement, resulting in the dismissal of all charges against him.
Bird was given an opportunity to prove himself to the court and avoid a $5,000 fine as well as a year of imprisonment. Provided he meets all of the court’s requirements, his sentencing was deferred for a year.
Before the criminal allegations against him were made public, he had a brush with the law in 2011. He was accused of drinking alcohol illegally. The episode was not particularly chaotic and was settled at Monroe County’s pre-trial diversion program.
Where is Connor Bird now?
Connor has been living a very secluded lifestyle since 2014. He has not been on any form of media since his second court hearing in the middle of that same year.
As such, neither in the real world nor on the internet is there any news of where he might be now, which means his current status is still unknown.
Likewise, Bird does not appear to use any of the popular social media platforms. Consequently, his current situation remains a mystery.
Connor is wed to Alyssa Bird (formerly Elkins) as indicated on his Facebook page. It appears that they had their wedding on June 8, 2022. Alongside his companion Alyssa, Connor is a parent to a son. On June 15, 2023, he posted a photo of himself and his son on Facebook.
