How Did Danielle Miller Become Famous?
A young Danielle Miller went viral on the internet for making an explicit video of herself for a boy she liked in her class. The video’s content was sexual which saw Miller using the Swiffer mop and it was leaked to the entire school and soon the internet. She was popularly known as the ‘Swiffer Girl’ from thereon. However, Miller came from a wealthy household and lived near Central Park in New York. Both her parents were well-known among their peers. Her father was a former president of the New York Bar Association and her mother was a member of a professional dance company, Rockettes, for 20 years.
But Miller’s life took an unfortunate turn after she completed her school. Miller became habitual of scamming people for money and ran a social media account showing off a life she never had. Her social media account was always glistening with glamorous pictures of expensive vacations which people believed were funded by her parents. Despite her wealthy background, Miller was financing her luxurious life by scamming people. She was involved in credit card fraud and was found with different IDs and credit cards. Danielle Miller is one of the six influencers who are part of a six-part Hulu documentary called Age of Influence.
In 2020, Miller was arrested along with her friend Blas for attempting to illegally withdraw money from a California woman’s bank account. They were arrested by the Sarasota County Police and the Sheriff’s office released a statement that revealed the nature of their fraudulent acts.
“According to bank personnel, two females, later identified as Danielle Miller and Ciera Blas, presented a passport card belonging to a client in Los Angeles and attempted to make an $8,000 withdrawal. Bank employees were alerted to the possible fraud after being notified earlier in the day by another branch of similar suspicious activity. Deputies quickly responded and conducted a traffic stop on the women’s vehicle.”
Where is Danielle Miller Now?
The 34-year-old is currently serving time in prison in Florida with another pending sentence. She was arrested for misusing personal identification for fraudulent uses and was sentenced to prison for five years in 2022. Miller pled guilty to wire fraud for taking money from other people’s COVID relief funds and small business loans. Her next hearing is scheduled for June 27, 2023, for a $1.5 million COVID relief fraud scheme. If found guilty, Danielle Miller would face 20 years in prison along with a hefty fine of $250,000.
