Belzer has had three marriages throughout his life. Sadly, his first marriage, which lasted from 1966 to 1972, ended in divorce with Gail Susan Ross. Then, in 1976, he got married to Dalia Danoch, a boutique manager; however, their union also ended in divorce sometime in 1978. Belzer starred in a number of television series and was most notable for his roles in the shows Homicide: Life on the Street and Law and Order: SVU.
Belzer got to know Harlee McBride in Los Angeles in 1981. Bree Benton and Jessica were McBride’s two daughters, and she was a 31-year-old divorcee. Four years earlier, McBride had appeared in a sex-in-cinema piece alongside Young Lady Chatterley in Playboy magazine. McBride was doing TV ads for Ford and performing in free theatre at the time. Garth Benton was her former spouse. Her two children are Bree Benton and Jessica Erin Benton. After their divorce, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career with her kids.

He was one of my first friends when I got to New York to do SNL. We used to go out to dinner every week at Sheepshead Bay for lobster. One of the funniest people ever. A master at crowd work. RIP dearest.”
Harlee McBride’s Career
In 1976, Harlee made her television debut as Sharon in the show Switch. That year, she also made appearances on the television programmes Most Wanted and Raid on Entebbe. She debuted in a motion picture as Cynthia Chatterley in the 1977 film Young Lady Chatterley. She also played a nurse in the 1978 movie House Calls. That year, she also made appearances on three television programmes: The Rockford Files, Danny and the Mermaid, and Three on a Date. In 1979, she played a female member of I.F.R. in the television series Institute for Revenge.
She also held a receptionist position at Disneyland in 1980. She played Honey in the TV show Likely Stories Vol. 3 in 1983. She played Cynthia Chatterley again in the follow-up film Young Lady Chatterley II in 1985. People took notice of her demeanour and responded favourably to her job. She was offered the opportunity to play Marilyn Monroe in the TV show Richard Belzer: Another Lone Nut in 1987. In the 1994–1999 television series Homicide: Life on the Street, she also became well-known for her role as Dr. Alyssa Dyer.
