Who is Henry Samuel?
Henry Samuel was born in 2005 to Heidi Klum and her ex-husband Seal. Fast forward 20 years, and their teenage son has started his own modeling career. On Monday, March 17, 2025, the 19-year-old was revealed as the cover model for Hunger magazine, with a first look shared on social media.
Henry Samuel was photographed for the cover wearing a Karl Lagerfeld suit, featuring a patterned jacket and matching slacks. He posed with his thumb inside the pants seam, revealing his toned muscles.
Like any mother, Heidi Klum was also super proud of her son’s runway debut. She shared an Instagram post with a sweet caption that read,
“So proud of you, my beautiful Henry! Your first cover for @hungermagazine — what an incredible milestone! Watching you grow into the amazing young man you are today fills my heart with so much joy. The world is just beginning to see what I’ve always known—you are destined for greatness! ❤️✨ I love you @henrysamle.”
In 2008, Klum disclosed that her children had a massive collection of costumes and thoroughly enjoyed engaging in pretend play. She also mentioned that Henry, who was 3 years old at that time, was at ease trying out all the costumes, even his sister’s princess dresses.
She further that there is nothing wrong about it, while also confessing that she finds the refined gowns to be more enjoyable than “Buzz Lightyear.”
In a 2011 interview with Good Housekeeping, the mother spoke once more about Henry’s distinct fashion style.
“He lives in his own world. We went to dinner all dressed properly [and Henry wore dinosaur slippers]. You can barely walk in those things, but for him, it’s not weird at all.”
Prior to his debut on the Paris runway, where he opened the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Show, Henry Samuel sat down with Vogue Germany to discuss the guidance he received from his mother and sister, Leni, who is also a model.
“Leni told me to look straight ahead and walk as if I was balancing a book on my head. My mother told me to do my best and not forget to have fun.”
He further added,
“I have many interests—sports, music, film and fashion. I want to use the different creative experiences that are available to me to find the right path for my future.”
