They presented this evidence to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), and Tiffany Reese, the host of Something Was Wrong, contacted both SPD and the FBI.
However, the outcome was disappointing. The FBI redirected Reese to the state police, while the SPD insisted that the victims needed to file formal complaints before they could take action. While the requirement for formal complaints has a logical basis, the inflexibility of the police response received criticism.
