Who Is Linda Pizzuti?
Linda Pizzuti was born on September 20, 1978, in Lynnfield, Massachusetts. Don Pizzuti, her father, is an immigrant from Italy who worked as an engineer and a real estate developer. Maria Pizzuti, her mother, was a homemaker. At the age of 26, she earned a master’s degree in real estate development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Growing up, their father taught Linda’s three elder sisters the ins and outs of the real estate industry. Following graduation, Linda contributed to expanding her father’s agency until her marriage and personal goals prevailed.
Linda Pizzuti’s Relationship With John Henry
In 2006, Linda got to know John Henry. Henry reportedly fell in love with her right away, but she turned him down since he was twice her age and her parents didn’t approve of the connection. But eventually, they got together, and Linda’s parents approved of Henry’s marriage to her. In 2009, Linda (then 30 years old) and Liverpool’s soon-to-be owner (then 59) tied the knot. Despite their different ages, they have a happy marriage, co-manage multiple enterprises, and have two kids.
Linda Pizzuti’s Career
According to reports, she assisted Fenway Sports Group in negotiating fresh land transactions to help expand Anfield by using her contacts and real estate expertise. She is the reason for the higher capacity. Surprisingly, the businesswoman only received her own limited partner shares in 2017 despite having a significant stake in Liverpool’s operations since her husband bought the team in 2010. Perhaps Anfield would have been larger now if they had given them to her sooner.
She is the managing director of the Boston Globe – an American newspaper which Henry bought back in 2013 for $70 million. Under Linda’s direction, the newspaper has produced four Pulitzer Prize winners, demonstrating her excellent work.
In addition, she founded a couple Boston-area start-up investment funds and charitable organisations. As a result of her service to Boston, its citizens, and its institutions, she was honoured to be included in Boston Magazine’s 2018 list of the “Most Influential Movers and Shakers.”
Linda Pizzuti has produced a few films as an executive producer, including the 2015 documentary CodeGirl. She obviously has a keen interest in the film industry. She manages the Boston Red Sox, a Major League Baseball team owned by Henry and FSG, more so than Liverpool. She is primarily in charge of creating sports-related TV shows. Additionally, since 1976, she is the first female owner of the Red Sox.
