Who is Michael Jordan Married to?
While a lot has been said and heard about the NBA Hall of Fame player, his personal life has also been in the limelight given his celebrity status. The six-time NBA champion married his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy in 1989. The couple met each other in 1985 through a mutual friend in Chicago. When Juanita met Jordan, she was working as a model. During the course of their relationship, she became the executive secretary of the American Bar Association.
The couple tied the knot after four years of dating in Las Vegas. Together, the couple also launched a Michael and Juanita Jordan Endowment Fund which was spearheaded by Juanita. Later, Jordan’s ex-wife also ventured into real estate management. After 13 years of marriage, the couple filed for divorce in 2002 citing irreconcilable differences. While the proceedings began, the couple reached a brief point of reconciliation, but eventually parted ways in December 2006.
As a part of the divorce settlement, Juanita received $168 million from Michael Jordan. It was one of the most expensive divorce settlements at the time. Since the divorce, Juanita has been living in the Kingsbury Estate in Chicago in her $4.7 million mansion.
In 2008, Jordan found love again when he met Yvette Prieto, a Cuban model, at a Miami nightclub. The couple began dating and moved in together a year later. After dating for a few years, Jordan decided to pop the question to Prieto with a ring, reportedly worth a whopping $1 million. They tied the knot in April 2013 at the Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida. They’ve been married ever since.

NBA champion, Michael Jordan is a father to five kids in total. The 60-year-old has three kids from his first marriage with Juanita Vanoy and two with Yvette Prieto. Jordan and Vanoy have two sons and a daughter- Jeffrey Jordan, Marcus Jordan, and Jasmine Jordan. Jeffrey is married to a woman named Radina, while Jasmine is engaged to basketball player, Rakeem Christmas. Jasmine and Rakeem welcomed a baby boy in 2019 and named him after his grandfather, Rakeem Michael Christmas. Marcus Jordan is currently dating Larsa Pippen.
Yvette and Jordan welcomed their twin daughters in 2014 named Ysabel Jordan and Victoria Jordan.
