Alissa Mahler is popularly known as the wife of Michael Knowles, a prominent political reporter and host of The Michael Knowles Show. Who Is Alissa Mahler?
Alissa Mahler was born in the United States in 1990. Her early years are largely unknown, but she is originally from Nashville, Tennessee, more precisely the Belle Meade neighbourhood. Although there are few facts available about her parents and siblings, it is known that she was raised in a Christian home and often attended church on Sundays. Although her childhood was not well documented, she was raised in a conservative Christian home, which probably shaped her views and morals.
Mahler attended a Bedford Hills public school for her elementary education before transferring to the University of Maryland to get a bachelor’s degree in psychology and history. She later studied journalism at Yale University, where she eventually met Michael Knowles, her husband.
Following that, Mahler pursued graduation at UC Irvine, where she graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in developmental psychology and was given the honorific Alissa Mahler, Ph.D. During her time in school, she was employed as a graduate student assistant at the UCI Centre for Psychology and Law.
Alissa worked as a research fellow at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, or NICHD, from 2012 to 2014.
Alissa Mahler’s Career
Alissa Mahler started her adventure as a UC Irvine graduate student researcher in 2014. She investigated juvenile justice system consequences and related themes; she is still studying these subjects. Mahler helps graduate students in the classroom as well. Mrs. Knowles has authored multiple research articles since joining the UCI research team.
Working with Diane L. Putnick, Danming An, and Justin Jager, she published her first paper, “Early Adolescents’ Unique Perspectives of Maternal and Paternal Rejection,” in October 2016.
Alissa Mahler And Michael Knowles’ Relationship
As youngsters, Michael Knowles and Alissa Mahler started their journey together in 2006. They have grown old together, learning from one other’s mistakes and preserving the spark in their relationship after spending 16 years together. On September 2, 2012, Michael openly revealed their relationship on Instagram, calling Alissa his “American girl” with adoration. The couple’s engagement followed in 2017, marked by a heartfelt proposal shared on social media.
In front of family and friends, they were married in a grandiose ceremony in June 2018. They participate in philanthropy together, going to Gary Sinise Foundation gatherings and other activities. Michael Knowles and Alissa Mahler, who reside in Los Angeles, California, are the happy parents of two kids. Their first kid, their eldest boy, was born in January 2021, after Alissa fell pregnant in April 2020. This marked the beginning of their journey into motherhood.
When they revealed their second pregnancy in March 2022, the family grew even more. They welcomed their second child in August 2022. Michael celebrated the newest member of his expanding family by proudly introducing their new born to the world in an Instagram picture.
