Who is Ryker Webb?
Webb disappeared on June 3, 2022, while playing with his family’s dog. They were in the front yard of their home in Troy, Mont. when Webb suddenly went missing.
His father had briefly gone inside, and it is believed that Webb wandered off into the nearby forest. When he did not return after two hours, his parents contacted the authorities and a search team was organized.
Despite the challenging weather, the residents of Troy searched extensively for Webb, but their efforts were largely unsuccessful. Thunderstorms were scattered throughout the town and the temperature dropped as low as the 40s.
What happened to Ryker Webb?
After being lost in the Montana wilderness for 48 hours, 3-year-old Ryker Webb was miraculously discovered unharmed. A photo of him looking dazed after his rescue has caused a frenzy on the internet. He managed to survive by taking refuge in a nearby shed.
According to Sheriff Darren Short of Lincoln County, Ryker was declared missing on a Friday afternoon in June 2022 and was located on Sunday, approximately two miles away from his residence in the small town of Troy in northwestern Montana.
Sheriff Short clarified that although authorities initially stated that Ryker was 4 years old, he is actually 3. The family who was inspecting their cabin was the one who found the young boy with red hair.
He said,
“They heard a little boy’s voice from the shed out back where they keep a generator “So they went to the shed and there he was.”
Upon Short’s arrival, he noted that Ryker appeared visibly disturbed. Short inquired Ryker Webb about his recent activities, to which the young boy disclosed that he had taken a solo long walk and eventually became tired. After mentioning the prospect of being reunited with his parents, Short noticed Ryker’s eyes light up in excitement.
After being rescued in June of 2022, Ryker was reunited with his family at his home, where he was safely brought. He underwent evaluation at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center and was subsequently released.
Internet’s Reaction to Ryker Webb’s Disappearance
A video posted on TikTok shows someone questioning Webb about the events that occurred when he became “lost.” While his attention is diverted by something outside of the camera’s view, Webb mentions encountering “a residence” and an individual, although it is not specified who he is referring to.
Some believe that Webb was abducted, which would explain how he ended up several miles from his intended destination. Another popular belief is that skin-walkers played a role in this. In Navajo tradition, skin-walkers are malevolent witches with the ability to transform into or control animals.
