Early Life
According to reports, Sara bint Mashour Al Saud was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1973. After completing her education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, she went on to attend the prestigious King Saud University in Riyadh.
The Princess is Noura bint Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer and Mohammed bin Salman Al’s daughter. Her father was a member of the House of Saud and the Allegiance Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Her mother, Noura, was the great-granddaughter of the late King Faisal, while her father, Mohammed, is the half-brother of King Salman.
In addition to being a member of the royal family, she also had a successful career as a jewelry designer and entrepreneur. Noura established and managed Nuun Jewels, with its headquarters located on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.
Career
Sara bint Mashour Al Saud established Ilmi, an independent science and technology program aimed at sparking an interest in science and fostering STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) proficiency in KSA.
The name of the organization translates to “My Knowledge” in Arabic and is set to debut in 2025. During an interview with the Saudi Gazette, Her Royal Highness disclosed the main objectives of the initiative. She said:
Ilmi will be a beacon of creativity, learning and accessibility. It will allow all of Saudi Arabia’s young and lifelong learners to realize their potential, further drive advances in the Kingdom, and help shape the future. I hope we will all create ilmi together and inspire and support the next generation.
Sara bint Mashour Al Saud applied for political refuge in the UK in 2007 and it was granted in 2012. She stated that she faced persecution due to a disagreement with her father.
The Princess also disclosed that she received threats for speaking out against corruption. Furthermore, she was reportedly engaged in a lengthy legal dispute with her brother over their deceased mother’s wealth of £325 million.

On April 6, 2008, Mohammed bin Salman married his first cousin, Sara bint Mashour Al Saud. However, they later went their separate ways.
