Stephanie Nur, daughter of Georg Bittner-Buddenbrock, an Austrian diplomat and a Syrian painter, was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1988. Her middle name, pronounced ‘Noor,’ is the Arabic word for ‘light.’ Her ancestry is a blend of Egyptian and Austrian.
Her father’s work required them to move to a new country every three years, so she lived in Egypt, Romania, Italy, Sri Lanka, Scotland, Jordan, and Austria.
During her worldly adventures, she became fluent in Arabic, German, Italian, and English. Additionally, she can understand and speak various dialects of Arabic, such as Syrian, Egyptian, and Jordanian.
