From a young age, Wentworth had a natural inclination towards acting and took part in various school plays. However, he was hesitant about pursuing a career in acting during his youth.
He attended ‘Midwood High School’ in Brooklyn and was involved in ‘SING!,’ a yearly musical performance put on by the school. In 1990, he graduated from ‘Quaker Valley High School’ in Pennsylvania.

In 2002, Wentworth Miller stepped into the spotlight with his lead role as the reserved and thoughtful David Scott in the ABC mini-series Dinotopia.
Following this, he landed a few small television roles before taking on a supporting role in the 2003 movie The Human Stain. In the film, he portrayed the younger version of Coleman Silk, played by Anthony Hopkins.
Miller dedicated a great deal of time and effort to his role, delving into research on Anthony Hopkins and undergoing a four-month training program to realistically depict Silk as a boxer. He also made a brief appearance in the film Underworld in 2003, portraying a doctor and companion to the character Michael Corvin.
