I just found our 5yo sitting on a chair in our garage
The door was open, and he was sitting, staring at the pounding rain outside
So now I am too.
Life can wait
I’m watching the rain with my boy.

My son asked for a new xbox controller for Xmas. Didnt think about why he needed a new one… until he opened it up and got all excited because now his sister could play games with him.
He didn’t want the controller for himself, he wanted it so they could play together.

My new favorite hobby is hyping up my NICU babies to their parents. I list their accomplishments for the day, say how proud I am of them, or highlight how strong they were today. It’s such a joy to see/hear their parents beam with pride over their tiny fighters. 💞

There are some school kids on the table next to us in McDonald’s practicing their friend’s new ‘they/them’ pronouns.
“If we practice now then think how happy they’ll be on Monday at school”.
My heart.
