Christian Bale claimed that although he struggled with Chris Rock when filming “Amsterdam,” it wasn’t because the two didn’t get along.
On the contrary, while filming the David O. Russell movie, Bale was unable to maintain character because Rock made him laugh so hard.
He admitted to us, “Chris is so bloody funny, and I found that I couldn’t act because I was just becoming Christian laughing at Chris Rock.”
“I adore chatting with you, and we have mutual friends, but I can’t do it anymore,” he said. “So I had to go to him. David didn’t ask me to produce this movie so he could sit back and watch me laugh. I’m having trouble being Burt the way he needs me to be,’ I said.
Bale, who is well known for approaching his work “methodically,” told IndieWire that he has to do the same thing for other movies.
He confessed to the outlet, “I frequently meet these amazing people, yet I isolate myself. Because if I get to know individuals too well, I start to question my actions in public.
On October 7, “Amsterdam,” a murder mystery starring Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Zoe Saldana, will be released in theatres.
