The NBA 2023-24 Season is about to conclude and there won’t be any NBA game on December 11th, 2023. Here is why!
NBA Schedule 2023: No Games on December 11th as In-Season Tournament Wraps Up
The NBA 2023-24 Season is taking a day off on December 11th, 2023. There are two main reasons why there won’t be any NBA game on 11th December. First, the NBA In-Season tournament is concluding.
The NBA In-Season tournament started in November and will conclude on 9th December 2023.
Following the conclusion of the In-Season Tournament, the management has decided to give an off to the players so that the players can rest before the Finals.
According to the NBA schedule, there are no games scheduled on December 11th, 2023. However, on 12th December, some crucial games will be played.
All 30 teams will take rest on 11th December. The NBA schedule has been adjusted to accommodate the regular season schedule.
December 8th was also marked as a day off for the in-season tournament conclusion prior to December 11th.

Before this, the NBA holiday was scheduled for 10th December, but it was later re-scheduled for 11th December.
Not just this, but according to the NBA schedule, there will be one more off on Christmas Evening on December 24th.
The management wants to build anticipation for the upcoming Finals, and that is another reason they are stretching the ongoing tournament with some breaks in between.
NBA management has also received criticism for placing holidays in between the seasons. However, the NBA believes that these holidays are important for players’ health.
The NBA management wants to maintain competitiveness in the season, which is why they have strategically placed some holidays in between. Ultimately, these short breaks will lead to more excitement among the fans for the upcoming games.
