The Golden State Warriors roster is getting old. Recently, the shooting guard, Klay Thompson, has not been able to perform at all. Thompson is performing poorly on the court, which indicates that the GSW needs reforms. However, we are not sure whether the Warriors will make changes or not.
The Warriors didn’t have an ideal start to the season. Currently, they are sitting at 11th in the Western Conference with a record of 10-11. The NBA trade deadline is approaching, and the Warriors must reconsider their decision to retain and trade players.
Could the Golden State Warriors Trade Klay Thompson Before the Season Ends?
An NBA Insider, Zach Lowe, has made some bold revelations about the Golden State Warriors trading Klay Thompson.
Lowe said:
“I’ve had four executives from other teams in the last 72 hours ask me, just in spitball and stuff, ‘Would they ever trade Klay Thompson?’ And the reason they’re asking is because teams see somewhat of an opportunity there in terms of, ‘Can we get involved in a deal?”
"You want me to bench me?"

Lowe further added:
“Would they have to attach an asset to trade Klay Thompson if they want to get meaningful win-now talent with multiple years left on their contract in exchange for Klay Thompson?’ To be clear, the Warriors do not want to trade Klay Thompson. They have no desire to do it. I would bet heavily against it ever happening.”
Klay Thompson is putting up some worst numbers as he is averaging 15.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while shooting around 40.6% from the field and 36.1% from the deep.
Last season, the 5 times NBA All-Star played way better, as he averaged around 21.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. The Warriors shooting star also led the NBA league with the highest 3-pointers which is about 301 in the last season.

However, this season has been completely opposite for Klay Thompson. He is way far from the top position. The 33-year-old star has been inconsistent this season.
The Golden State Warriors may still allow him minutes on the court, as he seems to be improving in the last couple of games. However, if Klay Thompson doesn’t improve, the Warriors will be dependent on Steph Curry.
