The Shenzhen based company, after the release of their 2019 flagship, the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, the brand now aims to enter the foldable smartphone arena with OnePlus 8.
The OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro both of them have some killer list of specification and more importantly, a great price.
Both the elements act as an important factor in disrupting the market and it looks like the Carl Pei company is set for another disruption with a foldable phone.
As the company just unveiled their new smartphones it is obvious that the focus is on them and not developing a new phone this early. So do not expect any release before 2020.
Focus on TV and Current Phones, Considering foldable devices says OnePlus CEO
OnePlus is expected to enter the TV space with its OnePlus TV later this year so it is evident as to were lies the priority of the company.
In an interview to an Italian publication, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has said that they releasing a folding smartphone anytime soon.
Pete also stated that OnePlus is “considering” on developing a foldable device.
Lau also believes that foldable tech is outrageously expensive and that the end user doesn’t seem to be that interested.
OnePlus 7 Pro came with a motorized camera system which is a surprise so don’t think that the OnePlus 8 will not have any fancy wonders.
