The extravagantly outdated media player is getting renovated, and most importantly the forthcoming Winamp is a platform agnostic mobile audio application which will bring together all of your music, streaming services, and podcasts to a single location. By the looks of it, the upcoming Winamp 2019 is quite an ambitious relaunch, but the company behind the innovation has said that the app is still about the strong global community of Winamp. As proof, the original desktop app will also get an official update.
Around the turn of the century, Winamp was the most favorable choice among the MP3 player, but the player underwent a rough patch during the ownership of AoI, the former parent company of Winamp. AoI failed to counter the reign of iTunes and the recent popular streaming services and gradually the app crumbled in the course of time. The original app which has its last update in 2013 is still in work. So the rumors surrounding the substantial upgrades of the app is on its way.
The CEO of Radionomy, Alexandre Saboundjian said that “There will be an entirely new version of the app next year and the app will sport the legacy of Winamp for an optimum listening experience. Radionomy bought the remainings of Winamp in the year 2014. With the new Winamp people can listen to the mp3s at home and now people can also listen to the could, podcast and the streaming radio stations and of course, to a self-made playlist.
Saboundjian concluded that people want a single experience and according to him Winamp is the perfect player to bring that to everybody.
The users of Winamp are everywhere, and the community behind Winamp is sturdy and of utmost importance. But people know that Winamp is dead, and the app does not work anymore.
The non-leaked official 5.8 version is going to come out this week, and it won’t be different from the previous one that people are using for many years. Nevertheless, the 6.0 version of Winamp will bring a lot of changes.
