George RR Martin clarifies on Winds of Winter release date
The seventy-year-old author is yet to write the last two parts of the GOT book series. His last book “A Song of Ice and Fire” released in 2011. Martin is reluctant to share the release date of his next book as he doesn’t want to raise fans’ hopes. He said,
I have no date. I’ve given up giving dates because I give one and then I miss it and everyone gets mad. It’ll be done when it’s done.
Is this the reason why Martin has been waiting all this while? Or is he waiting to surprise everyone with the release date next week? It may not turn out to be good if the fans are not happy with the show’s finale. It sounds like a good publicity move, but what if it backfires?
