It is important to note that Yennefer’s leadership of the Lodge does not necessarily mean Philippa will never be a part of it or assume leadership in subsequent seasons.

Fans of Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels may note that Yennefer’s role after the Thanedd Coup is less prominent compared to her prominence in the show.
In the books, Yennefer spends a significant portion of the remaining novels as a captive or on the run from the Lodge.
The decision to elevate Yennefer’s character in the show and make her an equal lead alongside Geralt and Ciri has been well-received by fans. It would be a disservice to her character to diminish her importance after Season 3, especially considering Geralt’s upcoming recasting.
Additionally, Season 2 already explored Yennefer’s captivity and escape, making it repetitive to revisit that storyline.
