Let us take a closer look at this match and examine the reason as to why he has returned – and could this be his last run?
Why is The Undertaker Back?
The Undertaker is back, this time, not because of the demands of Vince McMahon, but because of his passion for wrestling. ‘Taker wants to face off against Drew McIntyre – a wrestler of this era that he really wants to fight! The deadman is known to be quite a presence in the ring, but has rarely been known to wrestle because of his love for the sport. This time, however, backstage reports claim that it is different.
Will The Undertaker Retire After Extreme Rules?
The Undertaker and Roman Reigns are unlikely allies – but they are on the same side now. However, whatever the result of this match might be and wherever the storyline might be heading, we are certain that the deadman is not retiring after a B-grade PPV like Extreme Rules.
It appears that post this, he would be in a one-on-one match with Drew McIntyre in the near future. It will be interesting to see where the Undertaker heads next, but it is most likely that he will retire in 2020.
