YOU Season 3 was cancelled by Lifetime for it received low ratings and was ultimately shifted to Netflix. The streaming service had been the network’s international partner which made the move possible.
Another reason for Netflix taking over the show is that Lifetime wants to shift it’s focus to movies now. So, YOU Season 3 will now be a Netflix Original.
Netflix has also shared that YOU will have around 40 million members and more who will steam it on the streaming platform. The streaming giant is now interested in sharing ratings which it was not interested in till now. It seems that the executives are too excited to keep the ratings with themselves. It’s easy to publicize a show using numbers.
