YouTuber Brooke Schofield alleges that her ex-partner Matt Rife cheated on her with “20 women” and eventually blocked her number and it turned out to be a violent breakup. She was added to a group chat of women who claimed to have been dating him at the same time. Following his joke about domestic violence in a Netflix special, Rife shot to fame. After acknowledging that he had purposefully targeted his Netflix series towards men after being “ridiculed” for having a sizable female fan base, the stand-up has also come under fire.
YouTuber Brooke Schofield Breaks Silence On How Matt Rife Cheated On Her
Podcaster Brooke Schofield has stated that she is a member of a WhatsApp group made up of women who all dated Rife concurrently. In her podcast Cancelled with Tana Mongeau, Schofield discussed her relationship with an unidentified individual she nicknamed “Mr. DC.” She has since come out and said that this man is Matt Rife.
During their relationship, she accused the comedian of “love-bombing” her. This is the situation where a partner first expresses a great deal of love and affection before abruptly withholding it.
She told her podcast co-host Mongeau: “I wouldn’t say he was my ex or anything because it wasn’t like this serious relationship, but it wasn’t just hooking up with him, I really liked him. He was the one initiating the conversations that were like: ‘I haven’t felt this way about anybody in so long’ and just like… I mean, to anyone with common sense, it’s love bombing but I had, at that point, lost all of my marbles.”
Brooke Schofield clarified that she felt Rife had “hit all the points” and been respectful when she finally ended their relationship. When Rife joined the duo on their show and failed to mention their prior relationship, things got awkward.
Brooke Schofield reported shortly after that she had seen a TikTok video purporting to have dated Rife and that the timeliness of the videos appeared off. She was connected to a WhatsApp group with other women who said they had dated Rife after reaching out to the woman.
She said: “There were timelines, there were Venn diagrams, we were comparing notes. I’m telling you, for a man who doesn’t have time, this man had the most time.”
The influencer expressed her hope that the stand-up comedian would block her number out of respect for his current partner, Jessica Lord. However, she also suggested that he “unfollow the 2,000 porn stars” he continues to follow “to this day.”
Matt Rife’s Appearance On The Stiff Socks Podcast
He made mention of his desires regarding his partner’s genitalia during his presentation, stating: “I don’t want to look down and feel like God left the tag on you.”
Brooke said: “He goes on to say that he is disgusted by ‘outie’ vaginas, like, girls who have ‘outie’ vaginas, because ‘it looks like God left the tag on them.’
“Now, I’m going to give you guys the Cancelled exclusive here, but I, Brooke Schofield, have an ‘outie’ vagina, OK?”
She added: “Imagine how I felt, he literally just went on a podcast and was like: ‘Yeah, I’m f**king repulsed by this b*tch’.”
Rife hit back with a fake apology, posting on social media, “If you’ve ever been offended by a joke I’ve told – here’s a link to my official apology.”
Rife’s career doesn’t seem to have been impacted by the controversy, as Netflix revealed that he will be the main attraction at the Netflix is a Joke festival in May 2024.
