As the NBA Offseason is heated up, trade rumors swirl around the league. A particular trade proposal that is catching the attention is Zach LaVine’s trade.
An NBA writer has suggested that the New Orleans Pelicans should acquire Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls. Here is everything you need to know about LaVine’s trade proposal.
Lee Tran’s Trade Idea: Pelicans Should Pursue Zach LaVine from Bulls
Lee Tran is a popular NBA news writer from Fadeway World. Recently, he has proposed a trade deal between the Pelicans and the Bulls. According to the Tran, the Pelicans should acquire LaVine from the Bulls.
The Pelicans can trade their CJ McCollum, Kira Lewis, and Dyson Daniels, along with 2 draft picks of 2024, and in exchange, they should acquire Zach from the Bulls.
Here’s what Lee said:
“This deal makes sense from both franchises’ perspectives.”
“For the Bulls, LaVine is arguably their best NBA trade asset. They are not good enough to compete with him, and the best move is to trade him for value while they still can. Even though teams are lower on LaVine than before, getting some prospects and first-round picks for him is entirely doable. LaVine would also want to go somewhere he can compete for a championship, and the Pelicans are a team that fits the bill.
He further added:
“The Pelicans are a natural partner for any team that is ready to move their star. They have a good amount of trade assets and a number of stackable contracts that can match up with almost any star-level player’s deal. From their perspective, it makes sense to go for LaVine as well: he is younger than McCollum and is also a competitive-ready player that can help the Pelicans go for a championship immediately.”
Chicago Bulls Exploring Trade Options for Zach LaVine
The Bulls have been in talks with other teams to trade their Zach LaVine since the 2022-23 NBA Season ended. Zach has played 348 games with the Chicago Bulls and has done a good job for the team, averaging 24.5 points per game and earning 2 All-Star selections.
Even though he has performed well, the Bulls have not been successful in the last playoffs. They have only won a game in the playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Zach LaVine is 28 years old and has impressive stats in the last season, averaging 24.8 points, 4.2 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game. LaVine is set to sign a $40 million contract in the upcoming NBA Season.
The Bulls are looking to rebuild their roster, and they want more young players in exchange for multiple draft picks and Zach LaVine.
