Zendaya managed to impress one and all with her versatile performance. But she was stuck in a major problem during one of her popular movie’s filming and had to get surgery done for relief.
Zendaya has managed to carve a successful name for herself thanks to her powerful performances in several famed series. She has enacted some stunning characters in Euphoria, Spider-Man and many others. One of her recent movies which grabbed success both at the box office as well as among critics was the 2021 science fiction movie, Dune.
Zendaya In Dune Impressed Everyone
Zendaya’s role in Dune was quite appreciated since this role was quite different from the ones she had played earlier. Zendaya even described this as one of the most challenging roles she would be doing. Zendaya enacted the character of Chani, a young girl who makes frequent appearances in a man’s visions and controls the future. While describing her role in the movie she added
It’s obviously such a rich text, but it’s so much more than just a book to a lot of people; it’s a whole world that they’ve been able to escape to for years,”
Zendaya’s Less Screen Space In Dune Miffed The Fans
Zendaya’s performance was met with a lot of appreciation by fans especially when they got to know that it would be quite different from the usual roles. The fact that Zendaya was not given much screen space definitely disappointed some of her fans. She starred with Timothee Chalamet in this movie. Fans trended on Twitter that it was not fair to give her so less screen space with the blue-eyed Hunk.
Zendaya Was Worried About Her Wisdom Teeth
Zendaya revealed that she gelled with Chalamet quite well when they met for the first time. In an interview with W magazine, she said that it was a moment of stress for her. Basically, she had surgery to remove her wisdom tooth. So she was worried that she might smell bad while interacting with her co-star.
I had just gotten my wisdom teeth taken out. My biggest fear was that my mouth would be vile, and then I would have to do a scene with Timothée where we have to be really close, and he would smell my possible dry socket breath.
They had few intimate scenes so this could be a major embarrassment for her. She had a long struggle with her wisdom teeth. She had once posted that she was in a lot of pain due to her wisdom teeth but didn’t know whether she should remove them or not
She remarked about her swollen face on social media as she posted pictures of her teeth and face after the surgery

Fortunately, everything went fine and all her fears were over as she was able to shoot in an easy and smooth manner. Zendaya says that she takes it all in a positive stride.
