Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, manga, and anime are all set to resume again after a long hiatus. So far Boruto despite being the son of one of the strongest Ninjas of all time, hasn’t shown any exceptional abilities himself. Let us understand why the young Uzumaki is still not as strong as Naruto yet.
Boruto’s Upbringing and Teachings
In the series, the young Uzumaki, unlike his father, was raised in a sheltered lifestyle. Both his parents are alive and play an active role in his and his sister’s upbringing. Naruto, on the other hand, was an orphan and shunned by the whole village until he proved himself otherwise.
Boruto was very much looked up to from a young age as the son of the Seventh Hokage. He didn’t have to work hard or prove himself to get into the elite ninja school. His parents, both being the top Ninjas themselves, knew how to teach their son about his abilities from a young age. Even at the Ninja Academy, he was given the best mentor, Sasuke Uchiha, to start honing his abilities. However, despite all these things given to him, the young Uzumaki is yet to face any significant challenge that will test the extent of his limits and hone his skills further.
Y'all hating on Boruto because y'all compare his upbringing to Naruto. Chill. Boruto has great potential, he isn't his father. Smh

Boruto’s biggest challange
Kawaki, Code, and Eida pose the most dangerous threat as of now in the series. Fans are super excited as to how this will challenge the young Uzumaki. In the final chapter before the long hiatus, Boruto could be seen getting fired up to start his intense training to rescue his parents and save his village from Kawaki. He also has to free the people from Eida’s spell, which made them think the seventh Hokage’s son is an impersonator and is the villain in the story.
This will certainly challenge the young Otsutsuki and motivate him to get much stronger than his peer. However, it still remains to be seen how powerful he can get when compared to his father, the seventh Hokage, Naruto.
