The New Orleans Pelicans’ forward Brandon Ingram is expected to get acquired by the Charlotte Hornets this summer. The Hornets are expected to offer Terry Rozier, Cody Martin, James Bouknight, and a first-round pick each from the years 2026,2028 and 2030 in exchange for the American forward. Brandon played 45 games for the Pelicans last season and averaged 24.7 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game. This seems like a lucrative offer, but will the Pelicans agree?

Why would the Pelicans trade-off Brandon Ingram?
The Pelicans tried the duo of Zion Williamson and Brandon, but it did not work well for them. The former is injury-prone, and generally, when a duo does not work, the player who gives better returns is traded. The same applies in this case as well. A haul can be expected in return for Brandon, and the Hornets are offering that. Three draft picks and 3 decent players is a good return for the Pelicans’ star.

Why would the Hornets like to sign Brandon Ingram?
The 25-year-old American can do wonders for the Hornets, and even though he has a similar profile as that of Miller, he will be a great addition to their roster. He is a quality playmaker and can help at defense as well. If mentored well, the young star can be the next big thing in the NBA.
