The Houston Rockets’ guard Kevin Porter might get traded to the Boston Celtics this summer. The Celtics already have Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown on their roster, and they have achieved significant success with them as well. They made it to plenty of conference finals and an NBA final as well, but their star duo could not lead them to a title. Now, they are looking for players who can support them better and finally win them the championship.
The Rockets have a quality roster as well with Fred VanVleet, Jalen Green and Amen Thompson in their squad and they can afford to trade Kevin off. The Celtics have shown interest in signing him, and a four-team trade is in the proposal to land Kevin in Boston. Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Houston Rockets and the Boston Celtics involving Kevin Porter.
What would be exchanged in the Kevin Porter trade?
The Dallas Mavericks and the Indiana Pacers will be involved in the trade, along with the Rockets and the Celtics. The Mavericks would receive Buddy Hield and Robert Williams, while the Pacers would land Christian Wood and Payton Pritchard. The Rockets would get Tim Hardaway and Josh Green, and last but not least. The Celtics would get a 2028 second-round pick and Kevin Porter. This is a messy trade and this would have its own complications while the teams negotiate for their share.

Why would the Celtics like to sign Kevin Porter?
Kevin is a quality player and is great at playmaking. His brilliant stats speak for themselves. The Celtics aren’t losing much in the form of Robert Williams, who is very frequently injured, and Payton Pritchard. They have got Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford to cover up for Robert, while Payton has not been that significant for the team.
Will the Celtics manage to sneak out Kevin Porter among the multiple players who will be passed here and there in this trade? We’ll keep you updated.
